Monica Ahmed has extensive experience of serving clients from different ethnic backgrounds in all areas of Employment Law. She speaks English, Bengali, Hindi, Urdu, and Sylheti languages. Monica represents both employers and employees on both contentious and non-contentious matters. For employers, she helps in all HR issues, properly conducting disciplinary and dismissal procedures, following ACAS Code of Conducts, defending Employment Tribunal claims, and drafting all types of documents, such as contracts, settlement agreements, policies, procedures, etc.
For employees, Monica advises on disciplinary/grievance procedures, merits of claims, settlement agreements, COT3, etc. She represents employees (claimants) in all types of claims in the Employment Tribunals and Court, helping them to gain justice if treated unfairly by their employers. She also successfully represents claimants in the Court to enforce Judgments if respondents do not pay the award to the claimants on time.
During her time with several law firms in the UK and internationally, Monica has been able to leverage her multilingual skills to help more than 1,200 people. She is a dedicated and diligent solicitor who is deeply committed to helping her clients overcome employment issues.
Away from law, Monica cherishes her family time and loves being by the sea. Her other passions include trying different cuisines, reading detective stories, and watching movies based on spies, money heists, and investigations, which stimulate her brain.
