Background
Kevin originally qualified as a Barrister at Law in the Republic of Ireland and after several years of legal practice there qualified additionally as an England & Wales Solicitor.
Kevin enjoyed English, History and Languages at school, so the Law provided a logical career route for the skills developed by study of those subjects.
Highlights
From 1998 to 2009, Kevin worked in the international development field which included spending four years as a commercial law adviser to the Government of Malawi on a UK funded Forestry Concession public private partnership project. Previous assignments related to the legal aspects of UK funded public sector reform programmes in Afghanistan, Ghana and India. Most recently, Kevin worked in the Gambia on a World Bank funded Trade Gateway Project aimed at improving the business environment to make it more attractive for direct foreign investment.
Prior to, parallel to and since these overseas assignments, Kevin has been employed as a legal adviser in both the public and private sectors specialising in commercial contracts/procurement law, planning law and local government law.
